Putting Human Rights First in 2022

Posted on the 14/01/22

The European Humanist Federation wishes everyone a Happy New Year! In 2022, we will continue to work on making the violation of human rights visible. Sometimes it can seem as if human rights violations are mainly happening in far away places. Last year showed clearly though that also within Europe, we can witness problematic politics around the neglect of human rights on a regular basis.

There is a lot to be improved and a lot to be considered, starting from our treatment of the LGBTQ community to women’s rights to how we can respond to the horrific tragedies happening to refugees in the Mediterranean Sea.

On that note: We will keep trying to expose the status quo and counter it with rationality and respect, humanity and humility. We will stand up for human lives and human rights.
