EHF General Assembly and Annual Conference 2015

In 2015, the European Humanist Federation held its General Assembly and Conference in Athens (Greece) on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of May. Greece has been at the heart of European economic, political and social developments since 2008.

Dramatically hit by the crisis which affected first and foremost the people and particularly women and minorities, Greece experienced democratic contestation but also the rise of violent fascist movements. European humanists gathered in Athens to show solidarity with Greece and its humanist activists who have been very active in defending democracy and fighting extremism and religious privileges in the country.
