In the name of humanity

In the name of humanity

Commenting on today’s outbreak of war between Russia and Ukraine, the President of the European Humanist Federation, Michael Bauer, declares:

“We look at the war in Ukraine with horror and bewilderment. Our concern, our sympathy and our solidarity are directed at the people in Ukraine these days. This outrageous breach of international law by Russia and its invasion of Ukraine not only endangers the health and lives of many civilians and soldiers, it also calls into question the peace order in Europe with as yet unforeseeable consequences. We are deeply concerned about all this. In the name of humanity, we appeal to the Russian leadership and to the Russian people to put an immediate end to this despicable and inhumane action.”
