IVG.net

back

IVG.net is a website that under the cover of neutral information sharing tries to stop women from having an abortion.

Several “official looking” websites have flourished such as IVG.netEcouteIVG.org” or “SOSbébé“. They all pretend to be neutral call centers for pregnant women. In reality, their aim is to prevent women from having an abortion through biased or false information (on the great danger or severe physical and mental consequences of having an abortion for example). IVG.net is financed by Alliance Vita.

Persons involved:

Christine Boutin: chair of Alliance Vita.
French politician, she founded several political parties (Forum des Républicains Sociaux, Parti chrétien-démocrate), was minister of housing and urban development from 2007 to 2009 and MP from 1986 to 2007. She is famous in France for her opposition to abortion, euthanasia, same-sex-marriage and civil partnershis, adoption for homosexuals and her defense of the Catholic Church’s dogma. In her book Le Mariage des homosexuels she wrote: “where will we draw the line for an adopted child between homosexuality and pedophilia?”.
